Mental weakness is not spiritual weakness.
Various statistics reveal that 1 in 4 adults and 1 in 5 adolescents in a given year deal with a diagnosable mental illness. In the Church, the numbers are the same. Imagine about a quarter of our population and their families being affected by the impact of mental illness.
However, there is hope … through a whole health approach and professional care, anyone can recover. It doesn’t have to be lonely … Everyone has a role.
Struggling with mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, and other problems with mood stability are real and need compassionate support.
Living Grace is peer-led curriculum, based on Biblical principles and clinical insights. The weekly meeting is filled with insightful education, tools to improve life, and an understanding community providing encouragement and support.
Identity, Stigma, Medication, Healthy Thinking, Rest / Relaxation and Joy, Cycles & Triggers, Mindfulness, Staying Resilient, and more!
